Get rid of that 8-hour anxiety-filled (with no results) shopping trip once and for all!

You want to know one of the main differences we have noticed between specialty shops and chain department stores?

No, it isn’t the availability…many department stores carry a huge amount of inventory.

No, it isn’t the prices…it seems there are always coupons, deals, and sales going on.

No, it isn’t the atmosphere, necessarily.  There is usually a nice perfume scent in the air and clean floors.

So what is it then??

Here is what we have been told numerous times by our repeat customers:

ONE of the main differences comes down to good-old, non-glamorous, should-be-mandatory in retail, CUSTOMER CARE and EXPERTISE!

Have you ever tried to ask a Sales Associate at a department store to help you put together an outfit, much less put together a wardrobe for an upcoming vacation?  Here’s the thing- even if they begin to help style you, if they get a customer ready to check out, they are required to leave you hanging.

The majority of department stores in this area hire sales clerks, not Stylists.  I have firsthand experience…I used to work for one.  When I was 16.

I have to say, I look back on that time working for a department store as a “what not to do here” guide.   The customer experience comes first, and having multiple hands on deck to serve is of utmost importance.

I get it- sometimes you want to go to a boutique and just look around.  It is an experience to do that after all.  If we sense this is your goal, we will let you chill.   But as soon as you tell us you would like more help than that, it is go time!!

Outfit creation is what makes our shop “specialty” in our eyes!

Are you tired of wasting drive time, getting tired out from “shopping till you drop”, and want to shop smarter and faster?  Then you are a definite candidate for Specialty shopping.

Are you frustrated by the options available and lack that “thing” others have where they can create outfits that rock…seriously, how do they do that?!  Then you should certainly come to the specialty side.

Are you a person who is tired of the game of retail…figuring out the best coupon, the correct sale, the endless returns and ill-fitting purchases?  Then specialty shopping for items you can get a fantastic “cost per wear” out of is definitely for you!

Ali J Boutique is most certainly a Specialty Shop.  Here is a rundown on why we wholeheartedly embrace this genre:

We have, at any one moment, upwards of 125 outfits already created here in the shop for you!!  Our racks are not thrown together- they are planned.  On any one spiral rack, for example, there will be 2 outfits created on hanging mannequins, and in between are the pieces you need to create the look.  Beyond that, we also have tons of ideas rolling around in our heads on how to mix even more into the look!  Okay, yep, we are obsessed with fashion art!!

So now that you understand our focus….on creating outfits and being your own personal stylist here in the shop….we want to make it even easier for you!

We have an exciting offer just for YOU:  the newfound Specialty Shopper.  We want to make it increasingly simple for you to come in, be heard, and have the best service possible.

Here is the concept:  There is a different feeling when you go to a restaurant you have made a reservation at, than when you go to a place and are told, “sorry we don’t take reservations- it will be a 40 minute wait”.   We want to be the reservation place…where you know that when you walk in, we will have the dedicated Stylist time- just for you!!

So how is this any different than any other day you walk into the shop?  I believe it has a lot to do with the planner side in us all- and the intentional side.  You can feel much more accomplished when you set this time aside and act on it- than if you come in just to browse.

Let’s face it- as shoppers by ourselves, we live in our heads.  The first reaction to a Sales associate is to say, ‘I’m just looking’.   I think that is a protection mechanism- we need to feel them out to see if they will be pushy or maybe, we aren’t even aware if creating outfits are in their job role.

Truly- have you ever gone into Target to ask the clerk for help in getting looks for your vacation?  Nope.  It’s all on you.   And if you live in your head, the negative thoughts or frustration can most certainly take over.

Here at Ali J Boutique, we are Master suggesters- but the end decision is all yours.  Style is a personal choice, after all!  We want to come alongside you…not dictate your decision.

Wouldn’t the ability to make a reservation for your own Personal Stylist reservation be the bee’s knees??  It’s like going to the place where “everybody knows your name”  C’mon…you’re singing that in your head, aren’t ya??

Well, it’s happening! Now!

All you have to do is click over to our Facebook page, where we have a Book Now tab on our page- with options to set a reservation.  You can fill in the additional information to give us a heads up and help us be extra prepared…then come on in- just as you are!!  How fabulous is that???

PS…Are you aware of this concept of Cost per Wear?  It is the smart girls guide to shopping.  Read up on it here…
